Why We Began
Vedikaura started with an unexpected conversation. Radhika was searching for an authentic Yellow Sapphire when she met Mohit—a gemstone expert with decades of experience in Vedic gemstones and Rudraksha. What began as a simple search became a shared vision: to build a brand where authenticity mattered more than marketing, and where people could buy spiritual products with complete confidence. Today, Vedikaura combines Mohit's deep expertise in sourcing and verification with Radhika's focus on education, storytelling, and making ancient wisdom accessible in today's world.
Where Our Rudraksha Comes From
Every Rudraksha we offer is sourced directly from Nepal through trusted farms and families who have been cultivating and harvesting these sacred beads for generations. Our sourcing partner has spent over a decade personally working with Rudraksha, while his family has been in the trade for more than 35 years. This is a third-generation business based in Kathmandu—not a wholesale middleman operation. He has personally visited the farms multiple times. He knows the farmers. He knows the trees. When every new batch arrives, each bead is individually examined using both traditional knowledge and modern verification methods before it is ever listed on our website. We never rely solely on supplier certificates. We verify every Rudraksha ourselves.
Why We're So Particular
The Rudraksha market has a genuine authenticity problem. Indonesian beads are often sold as Nepali. Common Panchmukhi beads are misrepresented as rare Mukhis. Artificial, dyed, and treated beads regularly circulate online. We've seen it ourselves.
